Tours start here
All tours start in the Visitors Lobby, just purchase your ticket at the Cashier’s desk located in the Visitors Lobby. Tickets can be purchased online for guided tours in English, as well as audio tours. Unfortunately, children under 5 years of age are not permitted on the tour for security reasons.
Hours
Guided and Audio Tours are conducted Monday through Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Please call 212-963-TOUR (8687) for up-to-date information. Opening hours are subject to change.
On Saturdays and Sundays, audio tours are available from 10:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., except during the months of January and February when the UN Headquarters is closed to the public on week-ends.
Individual tickets can be purchased at the United Nations on the day of your visit or can be purchased online. For information on group bookings, see below.
Languages
On your guided tour, you will have the opportunity to interact with one of our 24 multilingual tour guides from 15 countries, speaking 12 languages, with up-to-date information about the work of the United Nations.
Tours are offered in the United Nations' official languages (Arabic, English, Chinese, French, Spanish and Russian), as well as in other languages such as Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, German, and Korean upon request. Call 212-963-7539 on the day you plan to visit for more information.
Audio tours are available in the six official languages, plus American Sign Language and there are adult and children's versions available.
Groups
Group reservations, is required for 20 or more persons, and should be made by either e-mail: unitg@un.org; or by calling: 212-963-4440.
If your group consists of less than 20, a reservation can also be made for a private tour, with a flat fee rate currently at $320 (equivalent to 20 adults). Or you can take a public tour (no reservation required) and pay the corresponding charges. Check price chart

People with Disabilities
The United Nations Headquarters in New York is accessible to persons with disabilities. The United Nations provides wheelchairs upon request to those visitors who require them during the tour. Tours in American Sign Language (ASL) (using handheld screens) are also available upon request.
