Briefings

Details about Briefings

Briefings are appropriate for a range of groups, including students (high school and above), educators, civic and business leaders, NGOs, etc. Groups of 20 participants or more may request an online briefing from a UN expert on a range of topics, from peacekeeping and human rights to the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as a general overview of the work of the Organization and its history. Those visiting the UN Headquarters and taking a guided tour can also request an in-house briefing. The UN Speakers’ Bureau can also facilitate outside speaking engagements at your location.

In line with official recommendations amidst the current disease (COVID 19) outbreak, the United Nations Headquarters will remain closed until further notice. In the meantime, the UN Speakers Bureau is committed to continue its outreach work through online briefings. In-house briefings and outside speaking engagements will resume when possible and travel restrictions are lifted.

      What is UN4U?
      • UN4U engages youth to take an interest in global issues by providing UN officials to visit high schools and some middle schools. Through UN4U, expert speakers travel to your school in New York City (all five boroughs) and the Tri-State area to share their knowledge of the United Nations and a range of specialized topics.
